Fun at the Nashville Farmer's Market.

Thursday, October 8, 2009

On Sunday afternoon, the pastors' wives from First Baptist Columbia let me tag along with them to the Nashville Farmer's Market. It's actually a Farmer's Market and Flea Market in one. (Kirra and Ilene, it's much different from the markets in Chicago, but still very charming and fun. And yes, it made me miss you both!)

We had a great time - despite the rain - and I enjoyed getting to know this godly (and hilarious) group of women a little more!

We started at the flea market, which felt like a foreign country. I expected to see some antiques or junk, but we saw more bulk imports like these...

Anyone need a toilet seat? :)

When we made it to the Farmer's Market side, it was quite a dramatic change...

Don't these pumpkins in front look like Cinderella pumpkins? I love them!

Need a gourd? Wow.

Finally, here we are with our pumpkins. The one I'm holding was pretty quickly turned into pumpkin puree and baked into gluten-free bread!

Thanks for a fun afternoon, Debbie, LeAnn, Karen, Karen, Megan, and Mom!
