Rain.

We watched this LIVE on the news tonight at work... 

I cannot believe this is happening so close to us. I've never ever seen flooding like this. The rain has not let up for about 24 hours now. People have already lost their lives right around the corner. (I'll post pictures soon of our backyard-turned-rushing river.)

But here's why we can hope: 

"God is our refuge and strength,

       an ever-present help in trouble.

 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way

       and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

 though its waters roar and foam 

       and the mountains quake with their surging. 

The LORD Almighty is with us;

       the God of Jacob is our fortress.
