I saw this sweet, free pattern on Pinterest this morning and couldn't resist... I had to make one. It only took an hour or so. I didn't have piping, so I didn't add that - and I made the bodice slightly wider so it didn't have to fit only a 7- or 8-lb. baby. I have a feeling I may be making several more for friends who are seemingly all having girls this summer and fall. So sweet.
You amaze me Whitney... Making that ADORABLE dress in an hour or so?! It is darling! I like your new blog header and the picture of you and your husband. So sweet! :) Love and Blessings!
I love that pattern! I made it for one of the little girls in my church...with a couple modifications. First off I made it big enough to fit a 3 year old, and instead of doing a lining I made it reversible. For her baby sister I made a reversible pinafore dress, the smashedpeasandcarrots one floating around Pinterest. I totally recommend that one too, because she can wear it with pants when it no longer fits as a dress! :)

so cute!
ReplyDeleteSweet! And I can carry my tote bag that matches, when "she" stays with Mimi . . .
ReplyDeleteIf it's a boy . . . time to sew something else!
Love you,
Mom

ReplyDeleteI pinned that one, too!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to make more than one modification so that it will fit my 18lb 8 month old, though!
