Thank You for sharing this post/DIY project. I can't wait to do this. I have been looking for a post like this and you delivered. Making it all look so easy to do...Love It!
Cool! Thats exactly how you make flowers out of fondant for cakes too! Try cutting up your 'flat snake' and wrapping each part around as a separate petal (hard to explain) but it makes the flowers look more realistic!
Yes! I think I know what you mean. Kind of like these (https://www.etsy.com/transaction/15898053)? I used to make them for my Etsy shop but wanted the earrings to be a tad smaller. :)
can't wait to try this!!! i wonder if there is a way to mix the colors so it almost looks tye died? maybe roll white and red clay together before you make the snake? thank you for putting up this awesome tutorial!! :)
Hello Whitney, this is a wonderful idea. the way you described all the steps in this article is so easy to understand and not at all complicated.
I actually wrote a similar article about making Rose Stud Errings and the like is here: http://thestylepeople.com/2013/04/26/rose-earrings/
But i didn't make the earring itself out of clay like you did, i bought the studs from a craft store. What you did is truly genius. Keep up the great work!
These are so cute! I can't wait to try them out myself! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLove these! Thanks for sharing :)

DeleteCute! I'm sure you could get a necklace pendant base of some kind and make a matching pendant as well.

ReplyDeleteHow many do you get out of one block of fimo clay? We are thinking about making these as gifts for our church Women's Retreat this spring =)
ReplyDeleteFun!! This is just a guess but I'd say you could get at least 25 or 30 pairs out of one block of clay... at least!
